How to get notifications from Pages and friends
Facebook has introduced a new feature called “Get notifications“. If checked, you’llreceive a notification every time a page (or a friend / a) publish to their timeline.
This is a great solution for anyone would like to stay in touch with their favorite page and not miss any news (photos, links, status updates) published. This setting overrides the algorithm that labels the popularity of the Facebook post, Facebook Edgerank, and allows the fan (the user who clicked “like” on the page) to receive notifications when a page is updated.
The function is similar to “closest friends” that allows you to receive notifications of updates of your best friends so you don’t miss what they post on Facebook (sort of stalking).
How to get Page notifications
To receive notifications from a page (same procedure for friends) just visit the page and move your mouse on the “Like” button, then select the “Get notifications”. You can also do this action directly from the news feed by passing the cursor over the name of the page.
If you do not see the item try again in a few days, as it just launched a few days ago in America.
